OBDC Micro-Loan Program
OBDC is a long-standing Oakland institution that benefits small businesses through the utilization of several Grant and Community Reinvestment funds. While many of the loans OBDC makes exceed the $10,000 threshold, OBDC and Nor-Cal FDC are forging a relationship similar to that of LCD's through utilization of the valuable credit-builder program.
OBDC has a stringent underwriting process, typically takes collateral, and combined with a highly effective outside collection agency, produces loans of excellent quality.
OBDC has never experienced a default under the Nor-Cal FDC State Loan Guaranty program.
